Description :
Hypericum perforatum - Part used : Herb
A sedative and digestant
St. John's wort, also called Hard Hay, has not only a sedative action but also a positive effect on depressive conditions.
This benefit appears slowly, after two or three weeks' use, and must be consolidated by continuing the treatment for three months.
Due to its astringent and anti-inflammatory properties, it is also useful against diarrhoea, gastritis, and peptic ulcer.
