A caroten and vitamin source
Caroten and vitamin A are good for child growth, for night vision, and for skin, hair, and nails.
Caroten enhances the skin, helping it become smooth and soft with a healthy colour, and protects against UV rays and sunburn.
It has a mild hypotensive (lowers blood pressure) and hypoglycaemic (lowers blood sugar) action and it is a diuretic.
It is a good antidiarrhoeal for infants (as is Carob).
